Absolutely love the facilities and spending time here, HOWEVER Kathleen Collins-Bell, the head of the tennis department should absolutely be terminated from that job. I have had three encounters with her and all have made be think this person as a spawn from the devil. I’m not allowed to type over a certain amount of words but the worst one was when she confronted me with a security guard demanding to see my Yates ID (for absolutely no reason whatsoever). When it comes down to being a “Karen”- Kathleen takes the cake. Absolutely horrific person

What a shameful place to be associated with the Georgetown name. This gym is an absolute mess. Good luck finding the weights you need! They are never in the correct places. The bathrooms smell atrocious 90% of the time. It is robbery to have your students tuition go towards a gym that is so outdated and messy. Do better Georgetown.

Yates field house is super well equipped. It's one of the premier field houses in any division 1 school.

I’ve played tennis for nearly 20 years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. My friends and I were kicked off the Yates Field House tennis court even though we booked it properly — just because two members wanted back-to-back hours. Their policy says members can’t reserve more than an hour, even if another member books the next slot. That’s ridiculous, especially when courts are nearly empty at 9 p.m. To make it worse, someone watching remotely decided to enforce this rule and had us removed. We’ve seen other groups play for more than two hours without issue, but we were the only ones kicked off. Our friends — also from our community — experienced the same. It’s hard not to feel we were treated differently. Deeply unfair, humiliating, and disappointing. This place badly needs better management — and equal treatment for everyone.

I think the Yates Field House is incredibly well designed and well stocked and offers members a wide array of options. The only downside is unavoidable due to its position as a University gym in that it is often crowded and specifically it could use more free weigh racks in the back. Despite this there is rarely a time when I wasnt able to get access to some equipment to achieve my fitness goals.
