Such a picturesque city creek in Webber Park tarnished by overflowing trash. How do some city parks get the white glove treatment, and Webber is overlooked. It felt sad.

Fun playground for my 3 year old, with good tree coverage so there was some shade for certain areas. Some good climbing stuff for older kids too. The natural pool was closed but looked inviting. We want on a Monday morning and had it to ourselves except for the occasional walkers. The park is so large and green, it feels good to be there and you forget you're in the middle of the city (except for the occasional train that comes by). Definitely a good spot to spend a morning or afternoon.

Edit: one star is rough, there are worse parks... But if you work for the city, and are lucky enough to serve the community, pride is important. Park staff are lazy. They drive through the wild flower fields along the river, just cause. Leave trash and glass at the curb sidewalks, because they drive there vehicles all the way to whatever door they want to go in. Drive on the road or the path? They choose, don't worry, hopefully it's under 10mph like posted. I have seen the main person working in the Webber building bring trash to work to dump, multiple times. MPLS parks are about as good as there leadership. Terrible.

Really pleasant! Free (no entry fee), unless you come during the special lap swim hours. If you lap swim during the regular hours, entry is free. The pool uses natural filtration (like rocks, sand, gravel) to clean the water. There’s no chlorine so the water doesn’t feel harsh. There is some algae (?) growth and the water is a little green tinted, but it’s cleaner than a lake. The bacterial levels are tracked for safety, and they adhere to European natural pool standards. There’s like 4 or 5 lap swimming lanes. I think one length (in the lap swim lanes) is 25 yards.

Loved it for a long time. But now it's full of bugs, looks like the algae hasn't been maintained in weeks. There were super long tendrils hanging from the grates. And I cannot stress this enough. Full. Of. Bugs. So many bugs. They said its always been like that, but I went a lot of times and it never was. Not to mention they wouldn't let this 4 year old girl in ahead of me to go to the bathroom 3 minutes before opening. Like. Dude. They had a bunch of customers already chilling in the waiting area. Call me a Karen, but if a kid comes up and obviously needs to use the bathroom and it's literally THREE MINUTES just let the kid in to do their thing. No decency.
