USA Pickleball

Ran a horrible tournament in NYC this year. My 16 year old son spent 220$ to play in one bracket. They made him join the USAPA at the highest level for 60$ for one year plus the tourney fees. They sat around while courts were jammed in and they couldn't get players out. He made it through the quarter finals and they called the tourney at 7:30 at night. My son and his partner were undefeated and we were told if they played they would award medals based on merit and point differentials. Today we were informed no one was getting a medal. What a joke this organization is! You should stop running tournaments and taking unsuspecting juniors money!!

It seems that while the organization says they promote the love of Pickleball, they are increasingly making it difficult for middle class individuals to engage in the sport due to their $60 membership fees, just to access tournaments that already cost $75 to sign up for. The benefits are minimal, and the cost is high for the every day pickleball player.
