There's so much for families and retirees to enjoy here! Whether you're into Little League, Pop Warner football, or FC Sarasota soccer, there's something for every active family. You might enjoy taking a walk around the park to get some exercise. I'm especially excited to see what the new pickleball courts and the building will bring to the community!

People pay a lot of money for the kids to play football here and the county can’t even have refs to do the damn playoff games you got one ref officiating a playoff game. This place is a joke.! FYI: our team won but still an injustice for the other teams and kids BS!

Really nice park, just north of 75 and Clark Road. Walking trails (great for pets), soccer fields, baseball diamonds, grills, 2 tennis courts + 2 solo hitting walls, picnic tables, restrooms, half basketball court, football field, soccer fields, small playground, etc. My only suggestions would be to add a walking path around the western lake, provide doggie poop bags, and add a people water fountain + a dog water fountain (similar to Urfer Park). Alot of people take their pets there to walk, would be nice to give the dogs (and humans…lol) a water break.

Was here for Florida native gardening for wildlife and pollinators garden tour. The IFAS extension office is located here (another office in palmetto). Very nice butterfly garden. Many different native garden demonstrations - trees, bushes, flowers, marshes, drought tolerant, succulents, edibles. Learned about the previously extinct butterflies that depend on the native coontie plant (roots used to make flour to make bread - native Americans taught settlers how to do this - over harvested and by 1935 the butterfly 🦋 extinct). Butterfly was reintroduced and is doing well now.

Lots of nice fields for team sports. Nice walking and jogging path around the lake. Didn't see the alligator but did see and hear lots of red winged blackbirds.
