like so many other reviews on here i have been progressively more and more disappointed - and frankly, appalled - at the new managements blatant disregard for members' satisfaction, as well as the state of the facilities. I cannot say anything that hasn't already been said ad nauseam in other negative reviews except this one observation: is it just me, or are all the 'owner responses' to negative reviews very clearly written by an AI BOT?!?! if this is true, and its pretty obvious that it is, it is just one more example of management not really caring for -or about- the customers and just trying to take as much of our cash with their overpriced amenities and fees. I am not sure just how widely known this is, but programming a bot to automatically respond to specific complaints within negative reviews with the type of response one would like to make is incredibly easy - even for me- and I'm barely computer literate. This allows unscrupulous business' to never have to actually read complaints while maintaining the appearance of a caring and dedicated staff/ management. Anyone who doubts me should go back and read all the 'owner responses' and also do a little research. There are countless tools online that make doing this far too easy for business'. If management is doing this for their responses, it also makes me wonder about the recent positive reviews. As I go back and read them, these positive reviews seem highly suspicious as well. The Tucson Racquet Club has become a business which I am truly sad to have been a patron of and I have been thoroughly rubbed the wrong way. Ok, my apologies- rant over- but I hope anyone who didn't notice these things before has started to now. If not here, than on other business' review pages.

TRFC is a family oriented place! I love the atmosphere the people and everything about it! The Gym was recently upgraded and it’s beautiful. The pickleball courts are new and have excellent lighting for night games!! This place is open 24/7.

⭐ ZERO STAR REVIEW ⭐ Absolute Disappointment and Disrespect After 30 Years of Loyalty I have been a dedicated member of the Tucson Racquet Club (TRC) for 30 years. I recently felt enthusiastic enough about the club to encourage four of my close friends to join, specifically so we could work out together. All four joined recently, showing their commitment to TRC. However, from the second day forward, our experience turned into an appalling cycle of harassment and disrespect, orchestrated by the club's on-site trainers. The Problem: False Accusations and Harassment Our group was working out with one of the new members, our personal friend, Tammy. Tammy is an incredibly fit individual, having worked for the police department for 30 years. She is NOT a paid personal trainer; she is simply a friend and a member. She was guiding our group's workout. Despite this clear fact, we were repeatedly and rudely approached, interrupted, and reported by TRC trainers who were operating under the false impression that we were bringing in an "outside trainer." • We were rudely asked to stop working out with an "outside trainer." • This harassment was relentless, occurring day after day. • The TRC trainers went so far as to rudely interrupt their own paying clients just to make a point of confronting and harassing our group. I have never witnessed such unprofessional behavior. Management Failure I am completely appalled by the way we were mistreated and essentially abused by the staff. The lack of professionalism shown by the TRC trainers was shocking. To make matters worse, four of us immediately wrote emails and called management to report this serious issue. It took over five days for us to receive any response. This unacceptable delay shows a profound disrespect for long-standing members and new recruits alike. The combination of unwarranted harassment by staff and a pathetic failure of management to quickly address and rectify the situation has completely ruined my experience. After 30 years of loyalty and bringing in four new memberships, this is the thank you I receive. DO NOT join this club. They do not value their members and allow their staff to run rampant with false accusations and disrespectful conduct. - Kelly

We’ve been members here for a few years due to its location on the loop. This place does have a lot of activities but the indoor area is in pretty bad shape. The indoor part is old, grubby and smelly. No amenities to speak of. No tissues, towels, locks for the lockers. The staff doesn’t care about your complaints. Yoga is held in a racket ball room. The only large group exercise room is poorly ventilated and dirty.

Member for 21 years and finally gave up. Before i cancelled I spoke to management and membership and was assured access to the pools would improve. They agreed the reservation for swim lanes was not working but nothing changed. The other issue is the pool system while having just been repaired fails to keep the pools clean, especially the larger pool. The final straw was Friday night barbecue. I'd enjoyed these for years. Now rhe food has become over priced and declined in quality. The folks, ( I think an outside vendor ) were so rude and unhelpful, It actually made me sad. I thought I'll hop in the pool and still have a good time. Nope. The pool was so overloaded w chlorine my eyes and nose started burning. I'd hoped new owners would make meaningful improvements... the upstairs gym refresh was joke. Maybe for tennis, but as a workout or swim club, rec and park keeps cleaner pools and has better gyms. Wish I'd canceled before the now mandatory yearly $80 upkeep fee, on top monthly membership. Lots of good memories, sad ending.
