I don’t usually write reviews but after a few lessons with Varun, it felt wrong not to. There are plenty of tennis coaches in Scottsdale, but Varun stands out immediately. The guy just has this rare mix of calm confidence and precision that makes you actually want to listen, even when he’s telling you everything you’ve been doing wrong. From the moment you step on court, you realize this isn’t your average lesson. He reads your game like a book spots things in your swing you didn’t even know existed and somehow explains them in a way that makes total sense. You walk off thinking, “Oh, so that’s what I’ve been doing wrong for the last ten years.” But what really separates him is the vibe. Varun’s lessons aren’t just about tennis they’re about rhythm, focus, and somehow having a good time while sweating through your shirt in the Arizona sun. He has that easy-going charm where he can drop a technical tip mid-rally and then immediately have you laughing about something random. It’s serious training without ever feeling too serious. He’s got this presence calm but magnetic. You can tell he genuinely loves the game and cares about helping you get better, but he never overdoes it. He knows when to push, when to encourage, and when to let you just swing it out. It’s coaching that feels natural almost cinematic, if that makes sense. By the end of each session, you’re hitting cleaner, thinking sharper, and wondering if this guy moonlights as a sports psychologist. And somehow, even when you’re completely gassed, you leave the court in a better mood than when you arrived. Bottom line: if you’re in Scottsdale and serious about improving your game or just want to train with someone who makes it all click… Varun’s your guy. Great coach, great energy, great company. You’ll show up for the tennis, but you’ll keep coming back for the experience.

I’ve taken 7 group lessons with Varun alongside a few friends, and it’s been such a great experience! He’s incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and always makes sure everyone feels comfortable and included—regardless of skill level. I’ve learned so much from him already, and I can honestly say my confidence on the court has grown thanks to his guidance. I genuinely look forward to our weekly lessons and always leave feeling motivated and energized. Highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their game in a supportive and fun environment!

Varun is awesome! Me and 2 friends just recently started lessons and have been loving it. We already see so much improvement and genuinely have so much fun each time! Varun is kind, professional, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him!

TopCourt upped my game, and I had a great time doing it. Crazy how a few tweaks to your technique can take you to a whole new level. Very unique coaching style that simplifies the game for me. This guy has it all.. from the basics to high-level strategy. Very impressive, and the results speak for themselves so far. 10/10 recommend.

I had a great learning experience both by instruction and hitting. Plus Varun knows some nice places to play.
