I signed up today and was greeted with the rudest encounter I’ve ever had in a gym setting. I was fully prepared to sign up on the spot, I asked for a day pass first just to check out the gym. I was told they don’t do day passes. Ok no big deal I said I’ll just sign up for a membership then. Some older lady with grey hair ran out of her office and said something along the lines of “maybe your goals would be better suited elsewhere.” I don’t know if she was judging me based on superficial characteristics or what not but she was almost shewing me away when I was clearly ready to sign up right then and there. Just super rude I don’t understand. Furthermore they told me they would show me around the gym as it was my first time there. The person who “showed me around the gym” took me to the track and showed me nothing else. Not the locker room, not the pool not anything. Like seriously not a single part of the facility other than the track. I’m just amazed that one of the higher end gyms in the city would have so many unprofessional interactions with their customers. The gym itself is incredible so I just disregarded the encounters but come on, learn how to show an ounce of respect for someone who is trying to literally hand you their money.

Hands down the best gym in the city. It’s more than a gym, with so many amenities such as basketball gym, golf simulators, pool, sauna, barbershop, cafe, rooftop lounges and more. The staff (especially Thea who gave us tours and helped with the sign up) is incredible. Fresh towels, clean, attentive and always saying good morning. Not sure where the negative reviews come from, never an issue with scheduling or getting on machines, always a healthy balance of people here but never overly crowded. Plus who would want a gym that no one’s at anyway?

Joining the Sporting Club has been life changing for me! It’s so much more than just a gym- the amenities really make this a great value- things like hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, rooftop deck, cafe, workspaces, etc. Also the sheer quantity and variety of classes means I can always find a class I want to do and fit it into my busy schedule. I’ve been a member of many other gyms, and I’ve never gone as consistently and got as much out of the experience as I have with the Sporting Club. Highly recommend!

I’m a new member but so far am really enjoying the facilities and classes. I haven’t found it difficult to get into yoga or Pilates classes (Admittedly, I’m taking them during the day.) The locker room, hot tub, and sauna are well-appointed.

Update: the sporting club has made noticeable changes in housekeeping and shower cleaning. It’s much better. The locker room carpet is still often covered in debris and needs to be cleaned much more often as well as the locker room ceiling vents. An incredible sporting club with a top notch fitness floor. You can spend the better part of your day here between classes, the pool, the courts, the golf simulator, the lounges, even a hair salon and cafe. The members are generally friendly and polite. The atmosphere is positive. The employees are excellent and I’ve noticed very little turnover during the year I’ve been here. Regrettably, the showers are unacceptably filthy and the whole shower area reeks of mildew. Housekeeping works hard, but management isn’t properly scheduling deep cleaning of the showers. The grout is full of mildew, the showers have drain worm larvae, and other staining and debris. Additionally, management isn’t properly maintaining the showers as two of them are out of service, one now for about 3 months. The locker rooms are also not being deep cleaned. The carpets are stained and often smell. Just look up at the air vent and see it’s never ever been cleaned. This isn’t acceptable at any price point, but especially not at $200 a month. I’ve brought this in writing to the club’s attention more than once, which they respond to in writing, but don’t do enough regular deep cleaning. This could easily be a 5 star venue, and one of the better gyms in the country, but they have to do a better job deep cleaning the showers and locker rooms.
