We love the pool at the plaza!! It’s never crowded or loud. The staff are helpful and go out of their way to help all the guests. We have ordered drinks and used the white lounge chairs at one visit- with the shaded spot it was perfect to lounge at on a very hot day. The washrooms at every clean. Price of drinks are a bit high but worth it. The smoking areas are off to the side which makes sitting around others great. The good truck was not prepared to serve fries but ready to serve other items st 11am. The hot tub was full of guests but in past visits was perfect to unwind in. The towels were clean and handed to us when we walked in. They have day beds that look very comfortable but along with the cabana needs to be reserved Our next visit we will reserve a cabana and will update and include pictures.

These guys are so disorganized. Our party made a reservation for 3 courts, showed up and they had nothing booked for us. Another party showed up at the same time and same thing. Whatever reservation system they use is terrible. The instructor gal was rude when I pressed about the reservation. Pros: -Plenty of courts, 16 permanent courts -Roof top /pool vibes -classes and drop in play Cons: -Front desk and shop are lacking. -No wind screens, courts get super windy being up high -No seating by the courts

I have to say that we were all disappointed with our visit. I'm a 4.0 player and signed up for advanced round robin on a Friday evening. They put 8 regulars (all known by first name) in one group which played some great pickleball, and the rest of us in another. This was confirmed by one of the players as "happening every week". There was one player with any good skills, five that were average and I'm afraid, one that should not have been allowed to play. She was nearly in tears. I had to pay down several levels to accommodate these players and the one good player played so aggressively, like it was a big tournament. He body bagged me twice when my partner kept popping the ball up. Got six awful games and there was no play afterwards. My two daughters have been playing for over 2 years and were put in the beginner session. They were happy to be classed as beginners, but they played with people who had NEVER played a single game before. They spent the evening either teaching these people or watching them fail miserably at the game. The drinking water ran out as well. Overall it was a complete shambles, a total waste of time, and we shan't ever return.

This review is for the pickleball clinic. 1 star because they canceled the clinic with no communication despite confirming on the phone the week before. I signed up for a 6:30pm Friday evening clinic listed on the Plaza hotel website by emailing the reservation email several times and calling the hotel. Someone who runs the clinic called me back to confirm that the clinic was still happening and I just needed to show up, and to email the reservation email to let them know I'm coming (which I had already done). When I arrived for the clinic, they told me it was canceled due to shortages of staff.. It's extremely frustrating as I had moved my flight at an increased fee specifically because I had called and confirmed that I had a spot in the clinic. I understand that things happen, but they knew I was coming and had my email address. At least email me to give me a heads up so I don't waste my time. I'm very disappointed in the lack of organization. Never going to the Plaza hotel again for pickleball.

TLDR this might be the worst gamble you make in Vegas. Website says “open play” after round robin. We went out of our way to make it to the open play. Upon arriving, people were a bit rude and reluctant to speak with us. After 15 minutes we finally connected with the organizer and were told “ Normally we would have open play, but if it wasn’t for me the courts wouldn’t be open”…. I’m not sure what that meant. The organizer followed up by asking, “are you locals?” When he realized we are not locals, he recommended going elsewhere. At best it was bad communication with little explanation why we couldn’t participate in the open play which is stated clearly on the website. At worst… they just didn’t want “out of towners” It’s a shame because the facility is nice! Most other places we go to play pickleball we are met with a welcoming vibe and enthusiasm. The people and staff here definitely don’t embody the spirit of pickleball.
