An overall nice facility, well lit, reasonably sound insulated, and fairly priced. Lots of good ideas for short and medium term growth I would like to see come true. The reason for a 3 star review is the lack of leadership and oversight of the open plays. I have to recommend against coming here unless you bring a partner or a full 4 person group. The paddle rack is barely even a suggestion at this location. People just take a court for themselves and only rotate through with their same 4 person stack as if they rented a court. It's worse when there is a single paddle waiting. The absolute nightmare it must be for partners to have to split up at an OPEN PLAY means that pairs will come off a court and just sit holding their paddles until another pair they want to play is ready then they will go to a court without ever acknowledging the rack or the waiting players. The employee's are more interested in sitting silently behind the desk on a cell phone than monitoring and rectifying a really simple issue. However if you want the rented court experience and are willing to play the "see no evil" of never even looking at the paddle rack enjoy the open plays!

I attended a couple of clinics at Texas Pickle Hall. The head pro Eliel is very patient and insightful. He provided lots of helpful feedback and gave us ample time to practice the shots we just learned. The facility is top notch too. Awesome experience all around.

I'm a tennis player and I've doodle into pickball around SA. My son loves pickleball so it's a great time for me to play more regularly. So far, I'm loving the game. Texas pickleball by far is my favorite. Texas Pickle Hall has such a wonderful family atmosphere. I usually play on Sunday and I see so many families and friends connecting and staying active. Then there are also positive players of all ages and level enjoying some friendly competition. The positive energy really makes TPH a great sense of enjoyment with the community. My only confusion is the paddle system with winners. I would highly suggest rather than having 2 spots for winner and 2 empty spot after. I would make 1 rack for winners and 1 rack for non winner. Then each can rotate accordingly, next winner play each other and non winner play each other. Then if one won, then they can proceed accordingly. By far, TPH is my favorite center for pickleball.

I took a private lesson today with Eliel, the Head Pro at Texas Pickle Hall, and he was amazing! I’m not exactly a spring chicken anymore, and he was still incredibly patient with me. I scheduled lessons with him so I could feel more comfortable joining open play with others who are at a much higher level than I am, instead of continuing to feel intimidated. He gave me so many helpful tips and things to focus on while I’m playing. I learned a lot in just one session. I’ll definitely be booking weekly lessons with him and truly look forward to continuing. When he’s done with me… it may not be soon, lol… but one day, I’m going to give some people a run for their money! :) Highly recommend!

TPH is one of best indoor facilities that I have had the chance to play at! The available 12 courts are great for keeping open play flowing smoothly and management is extremely attentive to ensuring the best experience for their patrons. Since opening their doors, it’s the only place that go to when I’m looking to get a pickleball session in San Antonio!!
