My granddaughter (2 years old) was visiting and my wife and I took her to Zoo Boise with her parents. The admission price was not expensive. The grounds were clean and well kept. We visited on a weekday so there was no problem with crowds. The animals were housed in nice enclosures that allowed for very close-up viewing. I was amazed to stand next to a window and have a Bengal tiger walk by just on the other side. My granddaughter loved the Red Pandas and the Giraffe. Most of the exhibits had inside and outside viewing so visiting in varied weather should be available. The employees I interacted with were cheerful and helpful. The food options were limited but outside food is allowed. Drinking fountains are available at all the restrooms. Free ice water is available at the shack bar by the entry. Very kid friendly. They have experiences available to feed some of the animals. Small extra cost. Souvenirs and snacks are a little pricey. Very fun family friendly visit.

If you are looking for a nice shade during the summer, this is the best place in Boise. The rose garden is simply fantastic, but there is just so much to explore here. I like to visit here after work to relax a bit, it never disappoints.

Walked from Mother Earth Brewing toward the zoo. Stopped by the lake which was full of birds. The park has loads of benches surrounding the lake, a nice trail that I saw many people jogging on, and bunches of trees to catch some shade from the summer heat.

This park is beautiful. It’s currently November and it’s a sight to see with all the beautiful fall colors! Definitely a fun place to take your kids during the Fall season!🍁

Beautiful park with tons of squirrels and an extensive loan to rest. On November 2025 some parts of the park were closed due to construction
