A great spot that’s become really popular lately. In the evenings there are often long lines, so plan your pickleball time wisely — the game can easily keep you playing until late at night!

This place used to have 4 courts as of early 2025 they added 2 more new courts which made waiting lines quicker! I really love coming here when the weather outside isn’t at its best!

SSIA stands for South Suburban Ice Arena, but this facility has been converted into a 4 court pickleball facility after the new SS Hockey facility opened on County Line Road that features both pickleball and archery. It features a hard court tennis surface, rollaway temp nets, beverage/snack machines and plenty of space between divided courts (via nets vs. fences). Lighting is very good and on par with any private facility such as 3rd shot drop, Epic, Parker Racquet Club, and the Pickleball Pubs in town. Painted lines are now augmented with tape for better visibility. Rates vary by season, but start at $5 (District Residents) and $7 (non-district) for 2 hour drop in sessions. Check the calendar for hours of operation, and scheduled sessions on their web site, or to book your own court time. Also features a few ping pong tables - paddles available for free at the desk.
