Sewallcrest Park

Beautiful park, the humans are ok, but the dogs are special. Basketball courts hold a special place in my heart and this one even more so as I played on it as a kid. Baseball diamond, and playground good for the little humans.

A nice place to sit and watch the dog plays. There are usually many dogs here in the afternoon. There is also a kid playground, basketball court, pickleball layout and benches.

Since I went to school here back when it was Johnathan Edwards Elementary School for K-5th, this park has a core seat in my heart and soul. Very simplistic, but perfectly filled with a baseball diamond, Basketball court, a general field, a blacktop with 4 square and hopscotch, and I believe the tetherball is still there. Altough the took out the two story curly slide, it still has a decent playground. I love this park, and my 1st and 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Nancy, was one of the kindest people I have ever known. It is a shame that schools like Edwards Elementary were shut down because they didn't serve enough children, regardless of whether or not the entire school had better test scores averages due to smaller class sizes.

I heard this park is haunted. I only experienced running away after sunset. After my dog couldn't keep up any more I just kept running. My dog gave me a hard stink eye once she caught up.

It’s a fine park. Proximity to Hawthorne is probably its best feature. Great for dogs. Nice Basketball court. Decent shade and a cute community garden attached. Also has a playground for the chilren
