Root Square

While attending an event at Downtown Houston, we parked our car in front of the park. We were amazed to see the Root Square Heritage Lanterns which is a set of 5 lantern shaped sculpture which lights up at night. The park also offers a basketball court, gazebo, seating arrangements, water features, sculptures etc. It is a cool place to visit at night I would say.

Nice place to visit within walking distance of my hotel while staying in Houston. I saw these lanterns while taking the city bus tour and was delighted to find them within walking distance.

Love going to play basketball here on Sundays lot of good runs between 5-8 afternoon

Great park, good evening lighting, and patrolled by security. No restrooms, but great for a picnic, and throwing the ball for catch! Great basketball court clean, and in great condition!

It's a cool hoopin area that's right in the middle of downtown Houston the vibes are always chill especially at night when I usually go. I didn't see any restrooms nearby nor a picnic area the Square could use charging stations as well .
