Rockefeller Park is one of the most peaceful waterfront spots in Lower Manhattan. Even in the winter, with snow along the paths and benches, it feels calm and beautifully maintained. The mix of skyline views, the Hudson River, and tree-lined walkways makes it a perfect escape from the city rush. You get stunning views of One World Trade Center and the Jersey City skyline across the water. The promenade is wide, clean, and ideal for walking, jogging, or just sitting on a bench watching the river. At dusk, when the lamps light up along the path, it feels especially serene.

You can come here to picnic with family or alone to just relax. This park has such nice views of New York and New Jersey. It also has a couple of playgrounds, basketball and handball courts. There’s a beautiful pond with goldfishes and ducks. Parking was a little hard to find, there were signs saying “no standing anytime” everywhere. We ended up using meter parking instead. Every 12 minutes was a dollar 😭 better to take the train down here. My family and I will visit here again.

Swedish Midsummer Festival at Rockefeller Park 2025 The Swedish Midsummer Festival at Rockefeller Park 2025 was exceptionally well organized. From logistics to overall flow, everything felt professional, thoughtful, and easy to navigate. The sunny and warm Midsummer day created the perfect setting for a vibrant celebration in New York. Traditional dancing, music, food, and a welcoming atmosphere came together in a way that felt both authentic and inclusive. A well-run event that balances structure with genuine joy. Highly recommended — and absolutely worth returning to next year.

A peaceful gem by the water! I really liked Rockefeller Park! It’s such a relaxing spot in the middle of the city—beautifully maintained lawns, stunning views of the Hudson River, and a perfect place to sit, think, or take a quiet walk. The vibe is calm, the paths are wide, and there’s a lot of space to just unwind. Definitely one of my favorite spots in lower Manhattan. Great for solo time or catching the sunset!

Super pretty. Came here for the st. Jude’s walk and loved how quiet, clean, and beautiful it was. Perfect for picnic, small party, or just for a nice run. I’ll definitely be back.
