This new park is easily the coolest park in dc! I don’t love that there’s a sandbox, but the kids do, haha!!! There’s everything a kid could dream of, for all ages, and a huge grassy field, and a rec center. This is definitely the new spot. It’s very busy, but so cool!

Great new DPR Rec Center at the old McMillan Reservoir. Pool is a bit small, but still lovely. Graduated entry into a large shallow end of kiddos, and 3 lap lanes. The massive windows onto the courtyard outside is really nice. Make sure to enter off FIRST St. There's a one-way drive upto the door, and parking flanking the sides. There's also parking on First St. Nice ADA amenities. Ramps into the facility and all throughout. Even an elevator inside. Big playground next door, with space to host kid birthday parties, tables and such. You can rent the multipurpose room indoors for events. Staff was wonderful, especially the nice young man at the front desk (I didn't catch his name), and the friendly lifeguard, Arnold. Women's locker room were very spacious and clean. Bigger lockers, 2 changing rooms, and 3 showers (one ADA compliant). Overall a really nice facility, we'll definitely be coming again.

Great playground and park, that they’ve elevated well so that it feels quiet and insulated from the chaos of north Capitol st. The playground has a ton of stuff and will be great when the shade trees grow in. The pool building is nice, but unfortunately they’ve made one side of the lap pool extremely shallow (3 feet) so you can’t actually do a tumble turn while swimming…a number of people and the lifeguards remarked on this as a problem.

Whether you call it Reservoir or McMillan, it’s a great addition to this area of DC. Could use more shade and more covered bike parking but the playground is fantastic. Pool a bit smaller than other DC indoor pools but looks great with big windows. Lots of interesting spaces from the former filtration site. Could of course use better bike routes on 1st, North Capitol, or Michigan to access. Hopefully will evolve over time as the future housing and Teeter are built.

Checked this space out and am so delighted!! It has a huge green space with a view of the Washington monument for people to hang out on, a splash pad that’s in the shade of the building in the afternoon, and also has a nice pool with swim lanes & a fitness room that apparently will get equipment soon. Playground was really big and spacious too
