Red Mountain Park is our go-to place lots of open space for the kids to run around, playgrounds, shaded picnic spots, and community events throughout the year.

This is a really nice park in north Mesa that is much larger than I thought. I have lived in this area for 4 years and have only driven by a few times. There are a lot of very nice areas to walk through the desert and around the small lake. I will definitely be going back to spend more time when it is cooler. Today thought I saw two bald eagles; one flew over my head and then grabbed something, probably a fish, out of the lake. It landed on top of a power pole and started chowing down. Another eagle, definitely larger, was farther down on another pole. Truly surreal as it was 104 out today.

Mesa Park and Recreation did an awesome job with this park. And the surrounding areas. From the sports complex and the numerous bathrooms on site. Large enough for a sport venue to even a picnic with the kids. There is plenty of space to run around at. Disc golf. Fishing. Running. Walking paths. Soccer Fields. Spaces for dogs. Kids Playgrounds. Pickleball court(1).

Awesome huge park. We drove around the perimeter which took a while as it's so big. They have a fun looking frisbee course in a natural area. They also had numerous soccer and other fields that were lit at night as we left. Really nice. There was a nice walk along a pond or river at one place. We stopped and relaxed on a bench on the side of the water as we watch the people out having a good time walking and fishing. They had some ramada's were groups of people had gathered to hang out and by the river water there it was pretty popular. Many people walking dogs having a nice evening. We would definitely go back
