I booked the Ranch Motel for work and it was so cute and welcoming. The highlight was definitely the pool which is heated with great places to sit. The rooms were clean and provide complimentary chips and sparkling water. The bath products were also very high end! The bar was great too when it was open. The only downsides were the rooms do not have TV and there was no coffee consistently available in the morning. Will definitely be staying there again!

Came to SA for our daughter’s 4 year old birthday weekend, she loves going places. We loved our stay, staff was friendly, easy checking & checkout, our room was cute. We loved all the freebies. Enjoyed some drinks from the bar. Everything was clean. Loved the heated pool, spent hours swimming! Enjoyed our time! Thanks till next time ☺️

The Ranch Motel & Leisure Club is a masterclass in how to breathe new life into a mid-century classic without losing its soul. It’s the kind of place that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. Here is a brief review of the experience: The way this property has been redone is truly impressive. It manages to keep that 1940s motor-court charm while upgrading everything that matters. The rooms are minimal but stylish, featuring Thuma beds, Parachute linens, and those signature Le Labo bath products that make any stay feel high-end. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into preserving the original details, like the neon signs, while bringing the interiors into the present day. The heated pool area is easily one of the highlights—it’s an oasis. Between the heated water, the lush native landscaping, and the retro-white parasols, it’s the perfect spot to lean into that "leisure club" lifestyle. It feels like a hidden retreat tucked away from the city noise. The service is excellent; the staff is attentive and went out of their way to make you feel like a "member" rather than just a guest. I received personalized texts and rapid responses on my questions regarding checkin. Plus, the location on Broadway is incredibly convenient. You’re right next to Brackenridge Park and the Witte Museum, and just a short hop away from the Pearl and Downtown. It’s the perfect home base for exploring San Antonio without the frantic energy of staying directly on the River Walk.

Very cool vibe here, it's an old cement motel that's been updated with hipster/ retro furniture (pacman in the room, MCM furniture, colors etc.) We stayed in a Suite so there was a bedroom with bathroom and a living room with a bathroom (dividing door removed to join 2 rooms). The living room had a low Mid-century couch, arms chair, desk and video game machine. The TV was on a wheeled cart so it could be in either room, smart TV so you can connect your accounts and watch whatever. Bathrooms are shower only, no counters just a pedestal style sink, and the update skimped on redoing the old blue/pink tiles and just painted them so the peeling look is really the only thing that wasn't great. At least the hot water is fantastic. The amenities were great, the pool was heated to bathtub temperature so a winter swim was quite pleasant. Theres not coffee or such in the room but a daily coffee truck on site offers free drip that is soooo good. Better than a keurig x10. Location for a family was wonderful, next to Doseum, Zoo, Bontanical Gardens. 8 minute drive to Riverwalk. Next door to Shake shack and a park. Ideal location. Easy parking. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here. The grounds, coffee truck, and vibe are fantastic - the rooms are also quiet and fairly comfortable, if not luxurious. I concur with other reviews saying the main thing that needs fixing is the peeling paint on the tile in the bathrooms - either shell out for new tile or keep it well painted, the chipped look is not good. The rug in our room was about due to be cleaned or replaced, too. But other than that, the staff and bar and everything were so fun- and location can’t be beat. So central to everything! We will be back to stay again soon!
