I've done Players Sport & Social Group volleyball and softball leagues for years. Every single league has been fairly priced, well coordinated and fairly and knowledgeably officiated. They also always have great venues and equipment on hand for leagues, open gyms and tournaments. No other recreational sport organization in Chicago can compare to the consistency, professionalism and fun of Players Sport & Social Group.

Ive been playing volleyball with Players for years. I keep coming back season after season because the leagues are consistent, the refs do a great job, and the facilities are clean and safe. Ive met some amazing people through playing and look forward to many more seasons. The Players' staff do a lot to keep this being a great league. Big thanks!

My friends and I sign up for their coed vball league every season. Such a great way to break a sweat while having a good time. Games are always organized too. Gives me something consistent to look forward to every week!

I’ve participated in five soccer leagues with Players Sports & Social Group, playing at DePaul’s Wish Field and the British International School pitch in South Loop. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: Pros: • Affordable Pricing: The league costs $120 per player, which includes 6 regular season games and a guaranteed playoff game. For the price, it’s solid value. • Rec League Soccer: This is a recreational league, so while it’s competitive, it’s still meant to be fun. The referees do a good job handling hard fouls but tend to let minor infractions slide, so just play safe. • Medium to High Skill Level: The player level is generally medium to high, so if you’re new to soccer, it might be a bit of a challenge. • Responsive Organizers: In the one league where a game was canceled, the league promptly communicated with players, found a new field, and even provided a coupon, which showed good customer service. • Game Start Times: Although games sometimes start late, the delay is usually no more than 10 minutes, so it’s manageable. Cons: • No Extra Team Shirts: They give out team shirts at the first game, but if you miss it, you might not get one, or it might be the wrong size. It would be helpful if they had extras or even pennies available for the games. • Inconsistent Field Locations: Occasionally, fields may change due to unforeseen circumstances, which can be inconvenient. However, they usually handle this well. Overall: It’s been a positive experience overall, but come in with the right expectations. It’s a rec league, so expect competitive games with occasional minor hiccups. If you’re at a medium to high skill level and looking for some fun soccer, this league is a great option! Also PLEASE research the fields you sign up for. The league does not own the fields they just rent them so some fields may be in poor shape and old. I typically recommend signing up for fields maintained by universities as their D1 athletes/students require them to be in good condition.

I've only played soccer through this league, so I can't comment on their other services. However, based on my experience with this organization, I strongly advise avoiding their soccer programs. The field conditions are deplorable and hazardous. They use plastic cones as a goalie box, and both the staff (including Izzy Rahim) and referees are unprofessional. In the past three games, our team has faced delays of over three hours, and one game was canceled because they didn't have the proper equipment to set up the goals. For over $1,000 per team, the bare minimum should include timely game starts, proper equipment, and professional, registered referees. Unfortunately, this organization fails on all three counts. This is what $1000 will get you.
