Pierce Field

This is a great park in Grandview. It's more than just a typical neighborhood park because it has the amenities of larger parks such as baseball diamonds, basketball and tennis courts, shelter house and a playground. It also has restrooms and parking.

09/07/2024 - Drove by Pierce Field on my way to have breakfast. The area gives the vibe of park and amusement park combined. Looks like other events may occur in this area including sports. Entertainment for all ages, and also accessible to individuals with medical equipment. Nearby parking.

The pickle ball court is essentially useless for anyone who just wants to show up and play a little pickle ball. I live on the corner and almost have never been able to play on this court without either being bothered or told I’m not allowed to play on the court because it’s “ reserved”. There is a league that takes over the whole court not allowing anyone else in. It’s ridiculous a public park like this is reserved basically all the days and times of the week that nobody can use it except people in the league. It has turned a casual fun spot into a clique.

Pierce field is a great park! There is a water fountain and the bathrooms are open until 10pm. There is a little street parking available, and the part is very well maintained and clean. There are two jungle gym areas, some swings, and a baseball field. There are also pickleball courts, and a small basketball area, which was resurfaced in 2024. It's a really lovely neighborhood park! Please note that dogs are not allowed.
