5th Ave & C Street Pickleball Courts

Second time in SLC, didn't get to play pickleball here the first time, and this time I hit the courts too late. Also no one told me about them hills from the train stop, what a workout. Nice courts, good set up, fancy thrift chairs add a nice touch. No lights though so it was quite empty when I got there

My girlfriend and I love this spot! Kinda tucked away in the quite neighborhood, usually pretty laid back. When people are there it’s not bad to wait around; they have some crummy but functional chairs, good shade, and the views are nice. Definitely could fit more courts here though. They have two pickleball courts in the same space where there were previously two tennis courts. I hope this spot doesn’t get too busy, it’s feels like our little secret.

This is the no frills little brother to 11th Ave courts' Big Bro. Maybe not as popular, a bit rough around the edges, but a very chill dude once you get to know him. Ask yourself any question about this spot and that's the answer. Examples: Is this a time where the 11th Ave courts would be PACKED - 5th & C is merely packed. Stunning views? - They're alright, but bring a mirror if that's what you want. Court conditions? Not perfect, but better than the level of Pickleball I'm playing. There didn't seem to be a pick-up game system nor reservation system in place. Just first come first serve and people playing in their own group of 2 or 4. Because there are only two courts, be okay with waiting 30+ minutes.

Great courts! Only 2, but they are rarely busy. We usually go early mornings around 8 or evenings around 7/8 and we can typically get a court. Great condition, and good shade in the mornings too!

Awesome! Courts are a little big so you have to run to grab the ball sometimes. The thrifted courtside chairs are a nice touch 🪑
