Penrose Park

The track is still in good condition don't know exactly what it's for but the grass is mowed and it is clear of trash and other debris

I had a great time there riding a couple of different track bikes. Had the place to myself for a couple of hours on a weekday morning.

I like the Velodrome, but it needs a toilet close by. The surrounding neighborhood is also scary. I won't go there after dark.

Sometimes I just like to come here and park sit in my car and just think or get out and get some fresh air. It’s quiet and kinda off the beaten path, but peaceful nonetheless the less.

It is a Great Park with so much potential and immensely impactful on the surrounding community. With some upgrades and expansions, it could become even GREATER. It already has a nationally known attraction, the Velodrome, that facilitates many cycling events, both local and national.
