I’m pretty impressed that a municipal park have har tru tennis courts, which requires more maintenance than hard courts. We came to attend the Sarasota Open and really enjoyed it. It’s my first ATP Challenger tour; Jack Sock is the only player I know - he lost to another American Boyer in the three set. It’s a small and intimate tournament. Music blasting in the background. The portable bathrooms are a notch up from the porta potty. Parking seems enough for the event.

I moved to Sarasota 8 months ago, and I have always been more of a "public courts" player, so while I was looking for public courts, I found this gem. 12 beautiful, well-taken care of, Har-Tru courts, in a nice quiet environment, AND with a large practice wall. I love hitting against the wall, so just the wall made the decision easy for me. I have been coming here to play 3 times per week, and really like the place. It's clean, the staff is really nice, and it's not too difficult to get a court either. They have 1.5-hour slots to book, and it is $10 per player, unless you have some kind of "membership". It's very reasonable.

Cannot tell you how much I love these courts and this place. Everyone working at the center is friendly and accommodating. The courts are in as good a condition (or better) as any courts in Sarasota County and the wall is a wonderful bonus! Staff go out of their way to help match you up w/ opponents and they have a searchable database of players ready to play, seasonally or year-round.

Great facility with friendly staff. The clay courts are in excellent condition. Ball machines and hitting wall are also available. City facility with reasonable rates! Highly Recommend.
