Moanalua Community Park

Very nice shaded basketball court, evidently there's a dog park there. Restrooms are one of the main things that adds a lot to a community park. A nice little kid's playground is here with climbing and slides and other aspects. It is under the freeway, but I don't see that as a problem as that is what allows the basketball court to have awesome shade.

Looked beautiful from the gate. Would've liked to walk the grounds, but didn't realize they charge $$$ for the privilege. Here in Virginia, I have my choice of many public parks that, in addition to being spacious and well maintained, often include playgrounds lakes and trails, all free and open to the public. So the MCP only gets 3 stars from me. Mahalo

Enjoyed a day at the park for the 9th annual Hōʻolau Kanaka. Great day, beautiful weather and nice shade from the trees.

This rating is for the dog park only. It has separate sections for large and small dogs which is great. Water and poop bags are available in each section. There is plenty of shade and the dogs enjoyed the spaciousness. People however are not picking up their dogs' poop so the smell and flies are off-putting. Parking was plentiful. The rest of the park looked nice and peaceful.

Moanalua Community Park is a spacious, family-friendly park with sports fields, picnic areas, and scenic views. Ideal for gatherings, outdoor activities, and relaxation.
