Miriam Brown Pickleball Courts

It is a very inclusive cooperative group of pickleballers that play in the am and have what “they do”, “down to a science”. Who and what happens after morning play is anyone’s guess and a “you’re on your own kind of experience”. That said- in the am there are 4 nets, they go up as needed by the regulars. They have a key set up to use the bathroom somehow set up usefully by the regulars. If there are more than 8 paddles in the stack 4 people go when a court opens, if less than 8 paddles then a number of variables will get 2 players winners will split, or 3 players if 1 winner has played 2 games in a row, set up by the regulars. In the event of morning wetness there are towels and squeegee to dry courts as designed and implemented by the regulars. It makes for a pickleball utopia I find it highly enjoyable. So glad it’s there available and get a taste of how it’s done outside of the area where Im from in Mandeville, La. at Pelican Park (a beautiful place, come play!)

No nets! You bring your own net! I guess it is the way the locals keep tourists out, and they weren't too nice about explaining it either. Only one court was being used when we stopped by. What a waste!

I hate to give anything two stars but I’m town and googled this. Drove over and one court had play but only one temporary net on that one court. None of the other courts had nets and there’s no fencing to catch loose balls. I kept looking.

Park is nice and in a nice location, they have 4 pickleball courts, but only 1 net.

Pickleball starts at 7:30 every morning. All levels of players welcome.
