McFarlin Tennis Center

Love the energy and atmosphere at the McFarlin Tennis Center. Tournaments and weekend Match play are a blast here. Lots of parking and close to good food and drink places.

This is a part of San Antonio, which I've never had the pleasure to experience. The weather was pleasant, with mild breezes/clouds, and watching three tennis games from the covered balcony was a joy! The surroundings are clean, with plenty of parking. I don't know tennis, can't even comprehend how they score, but supporting Family participating in this tournament; PRICELESS...!

The atmosphere of the tennis center is friendly and welcoming, the facilities are clean, they have wonderful courts and good spectating areas. They have one large long backboard and 22 nice and clean courts.

The fact that this tennis center, which is really nice, closes at 1 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is absolutely ridiculous. I try nearly every weekend to play there and can’t because the courts are booked for tournaments and other things. So, in fact, I can’t even use these courts. Why, cause they don’t want to pay somebody a few hours on the weekend. It is just poor city management.
