Beautiful spot to play tennis. Well-maintained courts surrounded by a scenic mix of greenery and city skyline. Players typically rotate every hour, starting on the hour. I tried reserving a court in advance through the website and by phone, but had no luck. Your best bet is to arrive a bit before the hour, place a racket on the fence to claim your spot, and hope you get a court. Definitely planning to come back for more practice with friends.

These are the very courts on which poor Maggie Daley dropped dead one sunny morning in the early Aughts, after a particularly grueling match with her now departed husband: Bill Daley. Chicagoans say that she still haunts the courts late at night, and in the wee hours of the morn. Pretty cool...

If one were to create a tennis video game with different levels of court venues, this would be the highest level of public courts available to unlock. The lowest would be like a town park with cracks and a playground next door. This is quite the opposite. Set in the city center, with great views of the skyline, the Maggie Daley Tennis Courts are the apex of public tennis experience. Not a crack to be found. Rotations are made every hour on the hour if you are a courteous tennis player and people are waiting.

I really cherish the tennis court, especially during the evening when it's still possible to play. The view is simply breathtaking.

It's a nice public court. 6 tennis courts in total. Each court can also be used as 2 pickle ball courts. Quite busy at times.
