MacArthur Park

This park is truly a gem 💎in San Antonio! There’s plenty of open space for kids to run, walkways for parents, and it’s very pet-friendly. Parking is abundant, the bathrooms are clean, and the entire area is always well-maintained. We had a great experience. The park is perfect for birthday parties, with lots of pavilions available for families and groups. I also appreciate how safe it feels—cops come around often, and it gives you peace of mind. I absolutely recommend this park to any family. We love it here!!!

Took my lunch break in this park. On a Monday and was not crowded at all. Very nice park with numerous trees, picnic tables, pavilions, barbecue pits, trash cans, conveniently located throughout. Also has an extensive playground for children as well as sidewalks connecting all the different areas. Did not see any trails associated with the part, but it is still very nice. I would eat lunch here again lol

Had my kids 7th birthday here and absolutely amazing!! The park staff are lovely and so helpful. The facilities are well kept and playgrounds have enough variety to keep kids busy for hours.

Don't let the pictures of the park fool you, there is A LOT to see here beyond a playground for children. I'm an avid hiker and I walk all parts of the SA Greenway. This park has so much to see when you go beyond the parking lot and playground. I could easily hike 15 miles around it with all kinds of beautiful trails and wildflowers. Please come see it - whether you're bringing your kids or ready for a full day's adventure.

The park is big and has different playgrounds for the different ages. Toddler definitely has a safe space to play in the park. The park has different picnic tables for the families and has a gazebo area that is big for doing activities and/or parties.
