I went there on a Saturday afternoon when ground started to dry out, there were already 6 courts with people playing. Many of them are very friendly. Thanks for the game Islanders!

Great public pickleball set up! 8 courts, open to all levels and looks like the competition level gets on the higher side when busy. If courts are open you can drill or play by yourself etc. but when it gets full it's 4 on and 4 off. There is one long paddle holder system that is the queue for every court. Facilities: Easy parking, ample seating areas & a nearby bathroom. Courts: Very spacious both between and behind courts, clear clean lines, & permanent nets.

July 25, 2025 As we played, a gentle lake breeze whispered across the courts, a sensation so profoundly pleasant and calming, it felt like a sigh of contentment. The afternoon sun was not harsh at all, allowing us to lob our balls without fear of dazzling opponents. Luther Burbank Park boasts a fantastic setup with eight dedicated pickleball courts, and lately, the sound of popping pickleballs echoes constantly across them. It's become quite the hot spot, with skill levels soaring from enthusiastic beginners all the way up to impressive 4.0-4.5 players. Interestingly, this surge in activity is thanks to a migration: a lot of Kirkland Everest pickleballers, seeking new venues, discovered LBP a few weeks ago during its renovation. This mass exodus has been a blessing, as players have found LBP and absolutely fallen in love with it, significantly mitigating the frustrating congestion we used to face on Kirkland's courts. My group, comprised of players ranging from 3.8 to 4.5 in skill, dedicates about four hours straight to the game every Wednesday. We even power through the sweltering 90-100 degrees hot sun, fueled by our passion for the game. In fact, from 1-3 PM, we often find ourselves the sole masters of the courts, enjoying undisturbed play. Now, a small but important caveat for fellow players: beware of the wasps lurking in the corner where the parking lot path leads to the courts. A quick call to the city of Mercer Island is on my agenda to ensure that nest is eradicated! Beyond the courts, LBP is truly a gem. It's an exceptionally beautiful park, with beach fronts stretching everywhere, inviting you to discover your own peaceful sanctuary within its expansive grounds. Crucially, the park feels incredibly safe. Unlike other places like Shoreline PB or Meadowbrook PB in Seattle, I've never once encountered any unsettling broken car glass in the LBP parking lot. It’s a secure haven for serious pickleball and serene relaxation alike. I will take pictures of the beaches, dog beach, floating walkway, and swimming holes in a few days.

Brand new multi courts for pickle ball. It’s a totally redone 3 court ( 4?). It’s by the playground and brick buildings. There’s real restrooms also plus park has swimming areas a huge dock system and an off leash dog park. 2 parking lots with handicap spots.

Fresh courts. Plenty of courts and games go by quickly even if the place seems crowded.
