Larsen Pickleball Courts

Probably the best public open play courts in SF (overall). Sometimes windy but never worse than Sutter or Presidio Wall. Toilets conveniently located nearby. Total 8 dedicated pickleball courts (no challenge courts), all permanent nets, most nets have a center strap. Open play all day until sunset (no outdoor lights). 4 courts on the left side are beginners (2.0 to 3.0), 4 courts on the right side are "intermediate" (generally 3.0 to 3.5). Some 4.0+s show up regularly but stick to their own cliques. Each side has a paddle rack for queuing. Usually 15-minute wait when paddle rack is full. If there were more courts, there were outdoor lights, and open play was until 9:30 pm, this review would be 5 stars.

Really clean and well maintenance. The restroom is also frequent cleaning. Good pickleball community there, people are friendly and good for beginner to immediate level.

Great place to learn & play pickle ball. The intermediate/advanced players are a bit intimidating to newbies.
