Kingsessing Recreation Center

I take my daycare ctr kids there weekly for playtime. This center has been slightly revitalized. The pool is open daily for free swim and has nice lounge chairs setup for you to relax & enjoy a day with the kids at the pool. I do see the city comes out to sweep & clean up times. It has a basketball court area, tennis court and playground area for children.

Is this place even open anymore? i went there recently on a monday and there seems to be a gate around the entire place with no clear way inside

Early Morning at Kingsessing Rec Center is the best especially on a lovely day.

Went to the pool here and had a great time! It's smaller than the other city pools we've been to, but the ample shallow area is great for kids. About half the pool is 3-4 feet deep. No amenities - bring your own chair if you want one!
