We had a deeply concerning safety incident at Johnson Ranch Sports Club. Both the sales office and front desk told us the afterschool program would meet children at the corner outside the club and escort them in. Based on this, our daughter went to the designated spot — but no staff arrived. She was left alone off school grounds until we intervened. Staff later admitted they were unaware of her location, and the program coordinator, Michelle, informed us the information we received was incorrect and responded with little professionalism or empathy. No corrective action was taken. Families deserve accurate information and reliable supervision before trusting this program with their children.

One of the best places to play pickup basketball without getting injured. The people that play here know how to play team ball. They also have a set of gentlemen rules that every player must follow.

We had a very concerning experience at Johnson Ranch Sports Club regarding our child’s safety. We were told — by both the sales office and the front desk — that the afterschool program would meet children at the street corner in front of the club and escort them inside safely. Based on this, we instructed our daughter to meet staff at the designated spot after school. On the first day, no staff showed up. Our daughter was left alone off school grounds with no supervision. Fortunately, we were present and intervened. Initially, we were told someone should have been there, but no one arrived. About 30 minutes later, a staff member called to ask if our daughter would be attending that day — indicating they were unaware of her location. Over an hour later, the afterschool program coordinator, Michelle, called and informed us that the information we had been given was incorrect — they do not escort children and expect them to walk alone. Michelle’s response was notably unprofessional and lacked empathy for the seriousness of the situation. We met with the General Manager, who asked what could be done to keep us as members. We explained that we only requested that the program follow the procedures they had originally represented. Despite this, no corrective action was taken. To make matters even more concerning, within days of this incident, our child’s school issued a community alert: two students had been approached by an unknown woman in a gray car on East Roseville Parkway — the same road where our daughter would have been waiting unsupervised. The woman reportedly offered the students food from her trunk and mentioned puppies and swimming. The incident was reported to the Roseville Police Department. This highlights the very real dangers of leaving children unsupervised in this area. It is important to note that front desk staff were professional and appropriately concerned, but the overall handling of this situation was unacceptable. Had we not been there, our child would have been alone at a busy intersection, with no supervision and at real risk. We trusted Johnson Ranch based on the safety assurances they gave us — assurances that turned out to be false. Families should be fully informed of these risks before trusting their children’s safety to this facility.

Everything from 28 pristine lighted pickleball courts to Squash, Racquetball , Pilates, 25 lighted tennis courts, Yoga, Tabata, Cycling and Spin, full court indoor basketball, Cryotherapy and Massage, Swim classes off the hook, Sauna, Kids Club, Play Center, two Cafes, weight rooms and free weights everywhere. Top of the line performance and fitness machines for anyone striving to improve one's health. Plenty of instructors and professionals to get you going. Come check it out.
