Beautiful playground. Complex climbing options accessible to both big kids and little ones. Tall slides, many swings, a spinning jungle gym, and various rideable animals. Everything is in great condition. Lots of shade. Adjacent splash pad is small, but nice. Plenty of benches, a picnic area, adjacent dog park, and public bathrooms. One of the best summer playground options in the city.

Beautiful playground and splash zone. Nice large field and basketball courts. DCPR issues permits for the use of the soccer field, frustratingly some private groups will play sports like baseball right up to the boundary line. That's more a reflection on the quality of the neighbors rather than the Rec Center

i am writing to express a serious concern regarding the front desk staff member at this facility. On multiple occasions, I’ve witnessed her refusing to allow people — including nannies with young children — to come inside the center for shelter during rain or cold weather. In the past, I was told by staff over the phone that the facility is open to the public and anyone can come in to use it. However, this particular employee’s attitude and behavior are unwelcoming and, frankly, feel discriminatory. She has created an environment where even the nannies are afraid to approach her. This behavior is unacceptable for someone representing a community facility. I urge you to look into this matter promptly to ensure the center remains a welcoming and safe space for everyone

A great playground that hasn't been redone, like most others in DC. It has a lot more personality and is much more fun for kids than newer playgrounds. It has a nice big grassy field, basketball and tennis courts, rec center, and two large playgrounds.

Great park, great activities, great dog community! Serves the neighborhood well for youth sports, outdoor exercise apparatuses, kids playgrounds, and tennis/b-ball courts. Would be a shame to lose such a great community park, since these almost never get made after other things are built on top of them.
