I’m reviewing the playground here, and I must say it’s really great! There’s so much here for kids of all ages and there’s a good bit of shade - a big plus in the hot summer months. The playground isn’t sparkly and new, but the newer parks don’t have nearly as much to offer as some of these slightly older parks. I hope this one stays this way for years to come! My kids love the roller slides - there are two - and there are multiple slides of different sizes. There’s a small sand pit in the middle, which my kids always enjoy. All around a great playground that I highly recommend.

Fort Scott Park is a great spot for calm, structured walks and confidence-building sessions. Lots of open space, dog-friendly trails, and a peaceful setting—perfect for training or practicing leash manners. Highly recommend for anyone in the Arlington and Crystal City area!

This used to be a great little park for tennis and little baseball while growing up. Now, like a plague of locusts, there's another group of pests. Yes, the arrogant pickleball jerks have invaded here too. Why do I say arrogant? Firstly, the County violates its own rules for the tennis and basketball courts by allowing pickleball to be played on them in the first place. Secondly, these inconsiderate folks LEAVE THE PICKLEBALL NETS AND FRAMES right on the courts. Even when you push them to the side or back of court, they are a MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD! These are TENNIS courts first that shamefully pickleball players have vandalized and been allowed to play on them. The limited resources that used to be earmarked to maintain the already existing sports may be misappropriated to pay for these nets and the sound proofing. These ugly rubber walls hung in the fences are costly. Estimates for the ones installed here are $6000. Frankly, they're potentially very dangerous. N'e'er-do-wells can engage in lewd or illegal activities and you wouldn't be able to see. I know these PB players try to use the tired old pretexts of "nobody was playing tennis on them" "pickleball is fastest growing sport" and other fraudulent claims. Don't fall for it. Fight back. They took advantage of the pandemic and bulldozed right over the tennis community. It's not fair and it's been unchallenged for far too long.

Cool park with tennis + pickleball courts, basketball court, kids baseball field and a mini playground. Also a few mini hiking trails, bathrooms and water fountains there too but bathrooms are dirty! Arlington parks are awesome!

Fort Scott’s pickleball courts are easy to reserve and great for casual or competitive play. The surfaces are well-maintained, and the setup is user-friendly. Whether you’re booking for a quick game or a group session, the process is smooth and hassle-free. A great spot to get in a solid match!
