FIRST RESPONDERS RECREATION CENTER

A very unique recreation center in The Villages. Contains an unbelievable amount of donated, unique memorabilia from all branches of first responders. A very nice pool area with nearby sports courts . Inside arcade games are free to use for residents and card carrying guests.

Have been coming to the center for years. Earlier today had a bad experience with a VERY RUDE employee who did not want to let my 10 y/o son in because we didn't have a pass. Normally we get passes but the office was closed. There were only a handful of people in the center at the time. My father who is suffering from Alzheimer's simply wanted to play a game with his grandson before we left later today. It didn't happen . I understand There are procedures and roles to everything but there is nobody at the place at the time. My Father is one of the first responders that's donated several items that are on display. It was VERY INSULTING for you to not let him spend 5 minutes playing with his grandson. Very tasteless. I've already requested a supervisor from the manager to get back in touch with me and will post follow-up to see if management really cares. Stay tuned.

Brought granddaughters 9 and 10. They loved it there. Downside is 35 min card ride

Thoroughly enjoyed warming up every morning on their 18 hole putting course. Very nice indoor space. Somewhat of a historical repository.

Heard from a lot of people that this recreation center was the best in The Villages. They weren't wrong. I'm sure there are a lot of great recreation centers throughout The Villages, but give it a shot, you'll probably agree with me.
