Yes this is an inner city park and yes there are some lackluster areas needing attention (graffiti and disrepair) but that's just it. Because it is an inner city park and still all this to offer: a golf course a swimming pool tennis courts and multiple baseball diamonds and a full soccer/football field plus many beautiful rolling hills and grassy areas for family picnics. It is a rose amongst thorns. I live nearby and often walk there and also take my dogs. I believe it's a lovely resource for outdoor activities for this neighborhood.

Lots of wide open space and rolling hills. I love to visit here often to relax and paint/draw/read or just fiddle with my phone in peace. There's a large field where soccer games/tournaments are often played, as well as an adjacent and secured entry golf course complete with driving range.

Really nice park - playgrounds for tiny and bigger kids, well maintained sports fields, a full 18-hole golf course (fees as low as $5), grassy hills for picnics including tables and BBQs... It's had a bad reputation in the past for gangs, but has really gotten nicer the past few years as gangsters have been replaced by new immigrants - you'll hear 5-6 languages in the playground with all the kids playing together just fine. One of the few parks in San Diego that's still full of people on a warm night after dark, where other parks drain of people at the first hint of dusk.
