Childs Park Recreation and Fitness Center

Whenever I travel, I try to find the nearest local community center when staying in Airbnb or with relatives because the prices are very reasonable to use fitness center. At this faculty it is free to public!!! How wonderful this is for local citizens and visitors. Mr. Morrison (I hope I have his name correct) only needed a valid ID to enter me into system and I was able to use the faculty while in town. The staff was very friendly and the fitness center is very nice! They have a playground for kids, basketball courts, picnic tables outside, and the trail runs into the Pinellas Loop trail. I highly recommend this fitness center if in area and need a place to workout!

this is a really nice park with lots of shade trees! several basketball courts, pickleball, a baseball field, pavilion, playground. well maintained!

Just working out at the free gym. It's better than paying and not busy at all when I go. It's free to sign up and get your card to enter the adults only gym . Just got to the front counter and ask about it. Decent choices of machines for any excersing routine. They also have yoga mats and a jump rope for use along with dumbbell free weights. Have a vending machine with drink choices like water and Gatorades. Also a private bathroom to use and storage cubbies for your things. It's well laid out in my opinion with machines bordering the room and nothing but open space in the middle. It's relatively clean and stocked with wipes to wipe down the machines before and after use. Also mirrors by the free weight area as well. Will update with pictures next time I go.

Beautiful scenery in and up and coming neighborhood, the trail takes you on a scenic 4+ mile walk thru clam bayou.
