I’ve been visiting the Wright fields on Sunday morning to play tennis with some fellow classmates and have always had a good time. The check in is fast with your UT ID, and the amount of fields almost assured you there will be one available. I use the parking lot facing 51st street, which gives convenient access to both the basketball and tennis courts (as well as the community garden.)

The supervisor is very friendly and professional, but she didn't have all the information regarding the charity event happening in the sports center.

First rate facility. Great lighting on a majority of most of tennis courts. Friendly staff. Tennis shuts down @ 10pm most nights. This is a UT facility so be sure to check their web site for functions and public/student availability. Parking is easy and free. But it is off 51st and Guadalupe so if it's hot and sunny, bring some shade with you... :) Welcome to Austin!

I understand that this facility is operated by UT for students and employees (I am one of them), but as publicly owned recreation land I am disappointed that UT aggressively enforces membership. The Craven Lacrosse Athletic Field on the main campus is essentially open to the public, why not here? A simple and fair policy would be to partner with the City of Austin and give precedent to users who reserve the fields for a fee, and to allow unreserved fields to be used for general recreation. This would make the fields more popular and beneficial to the entire community.

NOT DOG FRIENDLY. Our friends tried to bring their emotional certified mini goldendoodle for a tennis tournament being held here. They are not allowed. Please save yourself the drive and leave your sweet fur babies at home.
