Lady at the front desk was polite and extremely helpful. However, I walked down the hall to look at some rooms, and was told I wasn't allowed to look in the community center without a tour. Even tho there were 3 workers in the hall, they could clearly tell I just wanted to get a idea of what it looked like. I've been to MANY community centers and not 1 person that worked in them told me I couldn't walk down a hallway. I told my husband about this and he was furious. Considering 1. I've reached out to a worker in the past about volunteering to help them out and 2.we live in the development and our taxes help fund it. So! I'd probably like it more if idk... they actually let me look at the damn place.

What I enjoy about living in Raleigh is how much the city's park & recreation dept truly invests in their residents. I visited the Brier Creek Park Community Center this evening to attend my daughter's first day of Elite Basketball Training. This center is very clean and modern. The front desk staff provided a welcoming experience. They are very organized here. Prior to visiting, I emailed several staff to confirm my daughter's attendance and they were all very polite and responsive. Miss Gibson at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make a positive first impression. Training was organized and Coach Urysla Cotton is phenomenal! If you have a young athlete this center is awesome. There was a Caribbean Zumba class going on while we visited. I will also return for the adult programs as well.
