Alexander Park

To avoid the "heat" later today (WED 2025.07.30), i went to Alexander Park for an early morning walk. ~06:05 arrived and parked at Alexander Park. And Out i went on an ~6 mi CW Loop of Little Sugar Creek Greenway and the neighborhood. The Greenway and its trails were well-maintained and clean. Encountered a total of 10+ people on the Greenway; 1 Cyclist, a few Walking, and a few Jogging. Everyone was cheery and friendly 👍🙃 The neighborhood look nice and the streets were generally clean 👍

Since I recently moved here, I’ve already had the chance to visit this place, and it’s truly beautiful. The nature is simply stunning. I didn’t notice any major downsides. It’s perfect for relaxation, but it’s important to clean up after yourself and not leave a mess. A great spot overall.

Beautiful park. Part of Little Sugar Creek Greenway, so excellent walking trail. Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation always does an excellent job. Soccer field, tennis courts, small basket ball area, play ground for the kids.

There are plenty of ways to access this park. It's very neighborhood friendly with lots of walking and cycling paths. This park is dog friendly and offers restrooms.
