These are the worst indoor tennis courts in the city. Court quality: The courts are noticeably slanted and have very little side space. Court cost: It used to be cheaper but now it's $75 an hour to be in line with pickleball costs, since they can rent a single tennis court at two pickleball courts for $40 each. They also charge for parking whereas no other indoor tennis facility in NYC does. The parking is $5 but it's the principle of nickel and diming players who are already paying so much for court time that bothers me. Facilities: The bathroom and water fountains are a trek away from the courts in another building. There's no heat/AC so in the winter you're playing in

The court was supposed for the next group who already paid but did not show up after our booked time. There was no clock and any reminder so that we unknowingly played over the booked time. They'll never refund the guy who didn't show up and they charge me for playing over time. They should have told us to leave when time is up instead of double charging for the court. There's a flaw in their process which reveals their bad management. The rental court was requested to be paid in advance while booking. We were not request to check in and can get into the court to play. What if someone else sneak into and takes that court without paying. Will the fee still be charged on the guy played before? Another frustration from this situation is that someone was literally roll his/her eyes to me while I was trying to figure out the policy in front of the front desk.

Pickleball or tennis. Not cheap. But nice and clean, excellent staffs.

Alley Pond Tennis Center is now APTC and has moved to a new location in Queens College. I played for the first time at this facility and was very happy with the condition and the lighting of the courts. Lighting is super important it can make or break the indoor experience. Pricing is fair and they now offer a yearly membership which has some nice perks of free parking, advance booking and discounted courts.

Just took a beginners pickleball group clinic at the center. The courts were decent and instructors were great especially Hemel, l learned a lot at the clinic and planning on taking another class soon! PS - It’s a bit hot and stuffy inside and not cool and air conditioned (it was 90 degrees out, but in less hot weather it will be fine).
