This is a nice place to go for a run. I don't live in Atlanta, but I am there fairly frequently and I like to try to get a run in whenever I can while there. According to my GPS, it is about 1/2 mile to complete one lap around the oval. The only downside it that it is full out in the sun and can get pretty hot. At least there is some shade off to the side, though.

It was really nice to run on a soft surface. The loop is slightly more than 800m in case you're thinking about doing intervals.

This is a gravel path in the shape of an oval. There is space for many activities. I was tricked into playing adult kickball here. Still feeling some type of way about that. But for those who like sports with balls, there are volleyball courts, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and large fields for whatever other sports you’re into. There are also bars and such for bodyweight exercises. And of course, there are the paths for running, walking, skipping, and moving in general. Typically people walk around the oval counterclockwise, but if you want to be difficult that’s your prerogative. No bikes or dogs are allowed. There are bathrooms nearby that are open from 8 am to 8 pm. Parking is the same as for Piedmont Park in general. There is some street parking in the surrounding neighborhood, and a paid garage.

It was raining when we visited the park but that gave us the opportunity to hang out in the nearby Picnic Pavilion and look out over the Oval. A big open space that is perfect for sports, flying a kit, tossing a frisbee or just picnic if there isn't an event going on.

It is a great place in the park to go workout or walking. I enjoyed here after having my dinner.
